𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐈 The Sarissaphoroi are the professional army of Thessaly. The Sarissaphoroi are often referred to as the citizen army of Thessaly, they are tasked with defending the State; they are ready to go to war at the drop of a hat. For one to be granted admittance into the Sarissaphoroi, they must undergo an arduous youth program called the Nearoi program.
