The Aurora Emergency Medical Services (AEMS) is committed to upholding their main philosophy: "The person sick is first." Our objective is to provide high quality pre-hospital emergency medical care and services to residents and visitors of Aurora County. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ [EMT PROCESS] - Completed all required pre-requisite courses from the University of Aurora - Apply & complete all 3 tiers (credit-based system) of the AEMS Academy (>18 weeks): - Sit for and pass the CREMT Licensing Exams (Cognitive, Oral, Psychomotor/Clinical) - Apply for EMT I in AEMS (complete interview, orientation, PAT, oral & written exams, etc.) - Complete at least <10 shifts as the BLS Lead (3rd Man) More information about the EMT, MICT, and other processes in the trello board. ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ [LICENSURE] All employed EMS providers must be certified under the County of Aurora through the County Registry of EMTs.
