Description
The Combined Syndicates is a term given to the Revolutionary Socialist Government of the Great Lakes Area. The C.S.A. is a Syndicalist Federation. This is a form of government where the executive branch is made up of the country's largest labor unions, presided over by a chairman. The C.S.A. Government was founded after the defeat of National Guard Forces in the Chicago Uprising of 1937. With British and French support, American Syndicalists managed to gain control of most of the Great Lakes and some East Coast states. However, they failed to gain considerable ground in the loyalist West and conservative South. After making initial gains at the start of the civil war, the C.S.A. has been pressured out of the Central states by Union State Forces. While the C.S.A. commands a strong population and industrial base, the Revolutionary State is under threat of foreign intervention. Now, the Syndicates are forced to withstand both a Canadian Royalist blockade and German meddling in the South
