"The Tortured Poets Department" is Taylor Swift's eleventh studio album, released on April 19, 2024, and later expanded into a double album, The Anthology. Created with Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner during the Eras Tour's fame and media scrutiny, the album blends synth-pop, folk-pop, and chamber pop with rock and country influences. Praised for its emotional and impactful songwriting and dark academia aesthetic, it broke streaming records, topped charts worldwide, and spent 17 weeks atop the Billboard 200. It made Swift the first artist to dominate the Hot 100’s top 14 spots, led by "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone. Despite initial mixed reviews, it earned six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year.
