Its units were stationed across Central China to maintain order, secure transport routes, and safeguard government functions. From its formation until the end of the war, the Peace Reconstruction Army operated as a Japan-aligned security force, responsible for capital defense, key-area protection, and administrative stability. Its officers played essential roles in law-and-order efforts and reconstruction operations.
