I. ARMEE-CORPS - II. BRIGADEN SECOND EAST PRUSSIAN INFANTRY REGIMENT After the Battle of Jena-Aurstedadt, the Prinz Heinrich Regiment had 2 grenadier companies, two musketier battalion and a depot battalion, which had absorbed the remains of the von Rembow Fusilier Battalion. After a some time, these units we're converted into this regiment. When Napoleon required Prussia to provide a division to support the Grande Armée during the invasion of Russia, the regiment's first battalion was used to form the First Combined Infantry Regiment. The Fusiliers of this regiment was a independent battalion with the Prussian division, because of casualties suffered in early february, the fusiliers of this regiment was merged with the first ostpreussen inf-regt, to form a combined battalion suitable for field operations. This regiments first two battalions were also organised into a single battalion. FÜR DAS VATERLAND
