Nabataean Kingdom #33833480
Description
INFORMATION ————————— In the year 28 BC, the Nabataean Kingdom, a realm carved from the harsh deserts and towering cliffs of Arabia, witnessed a seismic shift in power. King Obodas III, whose reign was marked by prosperity and peace, was overthrown in a coup that swept through the capital city of Petra with the swiftness of a desert storm. The architects of this bold move were the kingdom’s own advisors who saw in Obodas a leader too complacent towards the creeping influences of the Roman Empire on their borders. The throne was claimed by Brechius I, a noble of great ambition and vision, hailed as the new king by the coup’s orchestrators. Brechius was unlike his predecessor; he was a warrior at heart, having led many successful raids against the kingdom’s enemies, and he possessed a deep-seated belief in the independence and might of the Nabataean people. His ascension was met with jubilation among those who yearned for a return to the days of glory.
