Welcome to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). The Criminal Investigations Department is the investigations unit of the Metropolitan Police. The Department is responsible for providing an in-depth investigation, assisting the rest of the service which is unable to get this kind of information. They are able to go undercover and work with other divisions. It is a full-time unit whose members do not do any other duties.
