𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐑 𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense” The Grenadier Guards is the most senior regiment of Foot Guards in the British Army and one of the most prestigious infantry units in the world. Founded in 1656 to serve King Charles II in exile, the Grenadiers have built a proud and unbroken legacy of service to the Crown for nearly four centuries. They are instantly recognizable by their iconic bearskin caps and red tunics, symbols of both tradition and excellence. As part of the Household Division, the Grenadier Guards are trusted with the vital duty of protecting the Sovereign and the Royal Palaces. They are a regular sight during national ceremonial occasions, such as the Changing of the Guard, Trooping the Colour, and state visits. But the role of a Grenadier extends far beyond pageantry—this is an elite combat unit with a formidable operational record across the globe, having served with distinction in every major British conflict from the Napoleonic era.
