Description
In the Kingdom of France in 1780, the "Régiment du Roi" (Regiment of the King) was a prestigious infantry regiment that served as part of the French Army. It was composed of professional soldiers, drawn from various regions of France, who were dedicated to serving and protecting the monarch. The "Régiment du Roi" was known for its discipline, training, and loyalty to the king. It was considered one of the elite regiments of the French Army, and its soldiers were highly skilled in infantry tactics and combat. They were equipped with muskets, bayonets, and other necessary weapons and equipment of the time. The regiment's main responsibilities included safeguarding the king and his court, as well as participating in military campaigns and battles on behalf of the monarchy.
