BAL began as a navigation company with merchants in the Canary Islands and was quickly relocated and acquired by the International Mercantile Marine Company to the United Kingdom. Since Transatlantic trade first began for BAL in 1868, BAL has been known for displaying its express liners in popular routes across the globe.
