The Verfassungsschutz (BfV) is a domestic intelligence department within the Bundesrepublik Deutschland. The Verfassungsschutz uses military ranking systems due to their extensive role within counterterrorism and general security. The most important goal for the Verfassungsschutz is to ensure public safety and the safety for Citizens within the Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
