LEGIO I - LEGIO ASTARTES The first of the Emperor's Astartes Legions, the Angels of Death are the example in which all others follow. Exacting its methods of war in various ways, the Legio has no shortage of tools or experience at its disposal to use against any foe. Being the first Legio organized, the Angels of Death are partially incomparable to their later comrades, demonstrated by the Emperor's favor granting them much more reinforcement and technologies than their gene-cousins. It is also demonstrated by their special formations, known as the Hexagrammaton and Hekatonystika, that they function somewhat differently as well. To be an Angel of Death is to be one of the Emperor's finest.
