Description
Created in 1903 by the Militia Act that was passed by the United States Congress, the National Guard Bureau was originally created to join the Department of the Army and the Department of the Air Force. However, the National Guard now operates solely under the jurisdiction of the Department of War and can be federalized by the King to operate under his prerogative. The Guard is not currently federalized. Conscription is illegal and not currently enforced. Anthem: "Always Ready, Always There!" (Instrumental) Motto: "Always Ready, Always There!"
