Description
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐆𝐘𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 ▬ 🍢 The Machimoi were native Egyptians conscripted from the Ptolemaic provinces to fight in the traditional Macedonian phalanx style. These warriors underwent rigorous training to master this disciplined form of combat. 🤝Their inclusion not only strengthened the Ptolemaic army’s numbers, but also represented a fusion of Greek and Egyptian cultures, symbolizing unity and adaptation in the Ptolemaic Kingdom.
