Description

Alcora is an roleplay community that primarily focus on lesser known conflicts during the cold war, more specifically in Africa. ---------------------------------------- Current Projects: Ovamboland, South West Africa (South African Border War) ---------------------------------------- The South African Border War was a conflict from 1966-1990 involving the involving the Republic Of South Africa and it's allies UNITA, FNLA, Zaire, Portugal, Israel and the United States against the communist insurgents of SWAPO which were backed by the MPLA, the ANC, Cuba, Zambia and the communist bloc. During the 23 long years of the conflict, both sides endure heavy fighting in the harsh arid bushland of South West Africa and the dense jungles of Angola. The South African Border war came at end in 1990 with the Tripartite Accord in which proper elections were enforced, forming the state of Namibia. ---------------------------------------- Creator: someswaggyguy
