Originally formed during the Insurrection Wars, the company traces its lineage through centuries of evolving Marine special operations doctrine, dating back to ancient Marine Raider elements on Earth. Nicknamed “Dead Horizon” by both UNSC personnel and Insurrectionist forces, the company specializes in counterinsurgency operations, orbital direct-action raids, reconnaissance, high-value target elimination, and the dismantling of hostile insurgent infrastructure across contested colonial worlds.
