Its duties were to protect the Galactic Senate and the Supreme Chancellor. The Senate Guards were mostly seen keeping watch over the Senate District on the Republic capital planet of Coruscant where the Senate Building, containing the Galactic Senate Chamber, and the Senate Office Building were located
