Description

The Sensational Stingettes are the official danceline of Alabama State University and one of the most recognized auxiliary groups connected to the historic Mighty Marching Hornets. Known for their precision, elegance, high-energy performances, and signature style, the Stingettes represent the pride, tradition, and excellence of Alabama State University’s Hornet Nation. The name “Stingettes” comes from the university’s Hornet mascot, representing the power and impact of the hornet’s stinger. Since their debut in 1977, the Sensational Stingettes have built a legacy as one of the premier HBCU dance lines, combining dance technique, showmanship, discipline, and entertainment into every performance. History & Legacy The Sensational Stingettes became a major part of Alabama State University’s marching band tradition when they first stepped onto the field in 1977. Over the decades, the organization has grown into a symbol of excellence within the HBCU band community. Owner , Saylor K

Growth

3 measurements spanning 52 days, net +12. Dots are measurements; the straight line between them is drawn to join them, not to claim we know the path taken in between — snapshots are recorded only when a count changes, so gaps mean “no change observed”, never “interpolated”. The vertical axis spans 14–30 and does not start at zero.
