Description
According to the Treaty of Kiel, the King of Denmark–Norway ceded Norway to the King of Sweden. However, Norwegian resistance led to the restoration of Norwegian independence in 1814, which soon took up arms against the Swedish Army. Enforcing the provisions set by the Treaty of Kiel, Sweden invaded Norway. After a short two week Campaign, and several victorious battles against the Norwegian Army, the Norwegian Government was brought to the negotiating table and accepted the Convention of Moss.
