SOUTHERN FIFTHISTS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Appalachian Cult is a small-scale sect of the First Southern Fifthists spanning the population (146 residents, all of whom eventually became Fifthists) of Dillsboro, Jackson County, North Carolina. Similar to its sister church (First Southern Fifth Church of Georgia), the Appalachian Cult is known for its bizarre ceremonial practices, with the main principle of the Cult's beliefs being the duality of evil, and how its symbol, the serpent, can take the form of "God" in the hands of a faithful man, along with other extreme alterations of traditional Chrisitan doctrines. The Appalachian Cult has been known to be in a strong ecumenical relationship with the First Southern Fifth Church of Georgia, with Woodstock broadcasts being particularly frequent in the region.
