𝟐. 𝐖𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐊𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐒𝐊𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 "𝐉𝐎𝐙𝐄𝐅" The regiment was part of the Polish Armed Forces in the West, formed by soldiers who had escaped to France and later to the United Kingdom. This unit, like many others, was comprised of Polish volunteers, including soldiers from the Wielkopolska region, which is located in western Poland. The name "Józef" likely refers to Joseph Poniatowski, a notable figure in Polish history, a general in the Napoleonic Wars, and a symbol of Polish military pride. The regiment's name reflects its connection to Polish heritage and aspirations for freedom. Motto: "For Freedom"
