Description
The State Legislature is one of three branches of the state government of Mayflower. It creates, amends and abolishes the laws enforced by the executive and interpreted by the judiciary. The Mayflower State has a unicameral legislature - the Senate. It is comprised of twelve Senators, presided over by the Lieutenant Governor acting as the President of the Senate. Article IV of the State Constitution empowers this body.
