𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 - 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 The 155th Independent Marine Brigade was created on December 1, 2009, by re-forming the 55th Marine Division of the Pacific Fleet, which in turn was created in 1968. The 55th Marine Division was created because of escalating tensions with the PRC. During the period 1968-1995, the Marines of the 55th Division performed combat service in the Pacific and Indian Oceans: assisted the armed forces of the Yemeni People's Democratic Republic of Iran, conducted joint exercises with the armed forces of Ethiopia and Vietnam, visited Iraq, Iran, India, Maldives, Seychelles and other countries.
