𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧 Amidst the buildup to World War II, the communist regime of Mongolia faced mounting discontent from within due to famine, political repression, and a longing for a return to Mongolia's proud heritage. Sensing an opportunity amidst the chaos, a nationalist faction within the military seized upon the vulnerabilities of the communist regime, capitalizing on popular discontent to orchestrate a coup d'état and usher in a new era of military rule, with the head of the nationalists being declared Khagan, symbolising a return to the ways of the old Mongol Empire. Amid Japan's invasion of China, the Nationalists seized the opportunity to expand south. Leveraging the chaos of war, the Khagan mobilized his military forces and sent them into China. The Khagan's army maintained its renowned speed and agility through a blend of cavalry units alongside mechanized, motorized, and armoured forces, combining tradition with modernity.
