Description
Humanity possesses an enduring compulsion to uncover what is better left buried—subterranean passageways, derelict structures, abyssal trenches, and any site in which the unknown has taken root. From the narrowest fissure in the earth to the hadal depths of the Mariana Trench, the species exhibits a persistent, almost pathological need to observe, to classify, and to impose meaning upon phenomena that defy it. In pursuit of understanding our place in the universe, we project the illumination of knowledge into regions where light was never meant to reach. Inevitably, this reveals entities and structures incompatible with baseline human cognition—anomalies capable of disturbing even the most disciplined minds, inducing sustained psychological distress, and manifesting in recurring nocturnal intrusions.
