The Caesarian Cohort were a cohort within the Cohorts Praetoria otherwise known as the praetorian guard, they were the bodyguard cohort or “Personal guard” part of the praetorian guard and were comprised of the most elite the praetorian guard had to offer, answering directly to only their commanding officers and the Imperatrix/Imperator.
