Welcome to the Kiwi People. ranks: king/queen: The King/Queen is above the peerage entirely. The King-Kiwi is the ultimate authority who creates and grants the titles of Duke, Marquess, and Earl. They are the "Fount of Honour" from which all noble status flows. Duke: The Duke's lands are the Duchy (pronounced dutch-ee), an absolutely massive and prestigious expanse of kiwifruit orchards. A Duchy might cover an entire island's production or be the exclusive cultivator of a rare, prized golden kiwifruit strain. Earl: The rank of Earl is the most ancient and respected among the kiwi aristocracy. In the early days of the Kiwi Kingdom, an Earl (or Eorl, as the rough, original Kiwis called him) was essentially a royal governor—a large, powerful fruit put in charge of several sprawling kiwifruit shires or territories (the "Earldom"). Baron: The Baron-Kiwi forms the largest part of the traditional nobility, the foundation of the peerage.
