The Protective Operations Unit is a specialised division of the British Columbia Sheriff Service, primarily responsible for the protection and security of government officials and properties. Our duties are unique compared to other entities, as no other unit has close protection responsibilities. Protection officers are trained with strategies and tactics to safeguard and protect the most important officials and dignitaries within British Columbia.
