🎌 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐉𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📚 𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘: The Boshin War (1868–1869) was the decisive civil conflict that ended over two centuries of Tokugawa shogunate rule and restored practical power to the Emperor. Fought between the imperial loyalists (mainly the domains of Satsuma, Chōshū, and Tosa) and the forces of the Tokugawa bakufu, the war began with the Battle of Toba–Fushimi and culminated in the surrender of the remaining shogunate holdouts in Hokkaidō.
