Kmp, FschJgRgt 31 is a SpezlKrH EGB formation of the German Army, based in Seedorf, Niedersachsen. As part of the EGB Force, 2. Kmp is considered a Special Operations Capable airborne light infantry formation, with it's assigned roles including personnel recovery, direct action assault and raids, HVT neutralization, and action as a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) for international NATO and domestic operations. 2. Kmp is made up of a Kompanietrupp (Company Headquarters) as well as I., II., III., and IV. Zug (Platoon). I. Zug is the operational platoon; fully trained members of the EGB force, while II. and III. Zug act as training platoons for future EGB paratroopers. IV. Zug is the Heavy Weapons Platoon, providing Anti-Armor, Mortars and Heavy MGs.
