In the fourteenth century, it developed into an imposing force, led by monarchs like as Ivan I and his successors. Moscow was in a position to progressively broaden its dominance over nearby regions due to its advantageous position. Moscow's history is primarily remembered for its resistance to repel the Mongol invasion. In the thirteenth century, the Mongols, under the command of Batu Khan, seized control a significant part of Eurasia, including sections of Russia.
