The Royal Lincolnshire Regiment [10th Regiment of Foot] was a line infantry regiment of the British Army raised on ## #### 1685 as the Earl of Bath's Regiment for its first Colonel, John Granville, 1st Earl of Bath. In 1751, it was numbered like most other Army regiments and named the #### ###### Lincoln) Regiment of Foot. The regiment would next see action fighting at the Battles of Lexington and Concord in April 1775, the Battle of Bunker Hill in June 1775,the New York Campaign in winter 1776, the Battle of Germantown in October 1777, the Battle of Monmouth in June 1778 and the Battle of Rhode Island in August 1778.
