Description
In 1939, the Soviet Union invaded Finland, threatening our land. With a small military and a newly established government, we united to defend our homeland. Citizens rallied, and our militia, ski troops, and infantry fought fiercely, using the harsh winter and local terrain to slow the Soviet advance. Outnumbered and outgunned, the Finnish spirit remained unbreakable. We fought not only to protect our homes but to defend our independence and secure our future. Losing was never an option.
