Description
The Town of Mersea, also known as Mersea, was officially established in 1659 by Pax Britannia as a colony town of Pax Britannia Mayflower, which was a colony under the Realm of Pax Britannia. Under Pax Britannia rule, Mersea was one of the largest hunting settlements in the colony, responsible for over half of the pelt production. During the Columbian Revolutionary War in 1776, Mersea had been used as a secondary location for the First Columbian Congress after evasion from Pax Britannia forces in Lander City, and it was here that some major articles of the Unilaterial Declaration of Sovereignty were debated until they had been forced to flee to modern-day Madison, where it then became under Pax Britannia rule until the end of the war and the incorporation of the State of Mayflower in 1785. Today, Mersea is the county seat of the County of Clark.
