Description
The Los Santos Police Department is the primary municipal-police force for the City of Los Santos. The department was unofficially established in 1886 as the Los Santos Nightwatchmen for for the purpose of deturing crime. In 1889, In response to high rising crime rates the City Government opted to establish control again by forming the Los Santos City Police Department. This led to tensions rising between the Municipal Police and Civilians. Throughout the 19th Century, the department had significant and troubling history of Police Brutality. It wasn't until the 20th Century that the Department of Justice launched in an investigation into the department, leading to multiple arrests and reforms. Today, the Los Santos Police Department serves as the municipal-level civilian law enforcement department. The department budget is set to 60 personnel.
