Description
The King County Sheriff's Department was established in the year 1816 at the county police building for King County, Georgia. They serve, protect, and uphold the law across the entire county and all minor municipalities within it, as there are no local police agencies due to most populated areas being too small to qualify as cities, therefore not being granted funding for such agencies. However, the Sheriff's Department has been proven to be more than sufficient, as it has a high personnel count and is very well funded, having received copious amounts of military surplus body armor, patrol rifles, service pistols and even night vision equipment. A year before the Apocalypse, Sheriff Taylor, 70, was re-elected for his fifth consecutive term as Sheriff, promising a campaign against organized crime that was spilling into the rural county from the Atlanta metropolitan area.
