Description
The Locust Horde, colloquially shortened into the Horde, was the official political organization of the Locust species. Founded sometime around 30 B.E. by Myrrah, co-creator and Queen of the Locust, the Horde was established following the uprising at the Mount Kadar Research Laboratory where they were created as genetically modified humans to aid the COG Army in the Pendulum Wars as cannon fodder. Myrrah's embryonic stem cells were hybridized with Sire DNA to create the Locust, allowing her to telepathically control them through the Hivemind. Due to the Locust desiring independence, and the lab supposedly killing her infant daughter, Reyna Torres; Myrrah led the Locust to slaughter the scientists and colonize the Inner Hollow of Mount Kadar. The Locust built the underground city of Nexus, and the symbol of the Horde was appropriated from the fringe political syndicate of the COG responsible for the creating them.
