𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄 The Imperial Senate, once the heart of the Galactic Republic's democratic process, has been repurposed under the Galactic Empire as a tool to maintain the illusion of representative government. Composed of delegates from various systems and sectors, the Senate ostensibly serves to advise the Emperor and convey the concerns of their constituencies. In reality, the Senate's power has been significantly diminished, with real authority concentrated in the hands of Emperor Palpatine and his closest advisors. The Senate's sessions are tightly controlled, and dissent is swiftly silenced. Despite its reduced role, the Imperial Senate remains a symbol of the Empire’s efforts to project a façade of legitimacy and order across the galaxy.
