Description

The Royal Hong Kong Regiment (The Volunteers), often abbreviated as RHKR(V), was a volunteer unit of the British Army established in 1854 to provide local defence for Hong Kong under British colonial rule. The regiment played a crucial role in the defence and security of Hong Kong until its disbandment in 1995, two years before the territory was handed back to China.
