The Wooded Meadows Police Department (WMPD) was established in 1820, during a period of rapid expansion in The State of Mayflower. Initially, the force consisted of just 10 officers led by the Chief of Police who was a former LPD Sergeant In its early days, the WMPD primarily dealt with petty crimes and maintaining order in the growing frontier town of Wooded Meadows. Officers often used wheelbarrows to transport individuals to the town's small jail
