Description
The Central Military Commission is China’s highest military leadership body, exercising supreme command and control over the country’s armed forces. It directs all major military affairs, including strategy, operations, personnel, training, and defense policy, ensuring the armed forces remain under the absolute leadership of the Party of China. The CMC is headed by a chairman, who serves as the commander-in-chief, and oversees the People’s Liberation Army, the People’s Armed Police, and China’s other military services through a centralized, unified command structure.
