Founded: June 14, 2024 The NAACP, or National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is a civil rights organization in the United States. It was founded in 1909 to fight against racial discrimination and to promote social, political, and economic equality for African Americans. The NAACP works through legal action, advocacy, and public education to achieve its goals of eliminating race-based discrimination and ensuring the health and well-being of all people.
