Boston Fire Department Special Operations Command "Unconquered, Unshaken" ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Special Operation Division is the “special rescue” branch of the BFD that is intricately involved in homeland security activities. It currently includes the CBRNE/Hazardous materials unit, Dive Team and Marine Unit operations Unit, and the Technical Rescue Unit. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ To join the Special Operations Division you must already be a Firefighter, and attend a Rescue Company tryout hosted by a Special Operations Captain. Once completing the tryout you must complete the Special Operations Academy, and pass the final exam.
