Description
In 1946, a group of businessmen founded Iran's first airline, Iranian Airlines. The iran air route covers domestic and regional passenger and freight services, and there is a freight flight to Europe every week. In 1954, Persian Airlines Service (PAS), a private airline, was established. At first, it only operated cargo services. With the increase of passengers between Tehran and other major cities in Iran, Iranian Airways and Persian Airways merged and nationalized in 1961.
