Description
The 37e Régiment d’Infanterie de Ligne was one of the units inside Napoleon's Grande Armée. Founded in 1587, it was renumbered during the French Revolution as part of a government plan to remove royal names, sponsors, and commanders from regiments. The regiment saw action in notable battles such as Wagram, Borodino, and Leipzig. They fought across Europe living up to it's motto Vaincre ou mourir "Win or Die". Motto: "Vaincre ou mourir"
