The Judiciary of Canada is the federal court system of Canada, comprised of the Federal Court and the Supreme Court. The Federal Court is the court of first instance, having sole original jurisdiction over all civil and criminal proceedings; and the power of judicial reviews over actions of the Government of Canada and Elections Canada. The Supreme Court of Canada is the highest court and court of final appeal. It has sole original jurisdiction over questions of law and judicial review posed by the Attorney General.
