Entre 1670 e 1724, a Armada consolidou-se como pilar do Império Brasileiro, enfrentando potências europeias como os Espanhóis e Ingleses em batalhas navais decisivas e garantindo o domínio sobre vastas áreas do Atlântico Sul e Caribe. De 1710 a 1724, a Armada modernizou-se, impulsionando o comércio de produtos como açúcar e ouro e estabelecendo novas alianças diplomáticas. Em 1724, a Armada lança uma expedição histórica ao Canadá, explorando as ilhas de Beuval, Cantermagne, Stonemore, Rupert e Ellesmere. A missão mapeia novas terras, estabelece contatos diplomáticos, identifica recursos naturais e busca dominar novas terras estratégicas.
