Description
Feudal Japan: land of wealth, honour and mystery. The year is 1586. Japan is at war with itself. The Oda Clan and the Tokugawa Clan are involved in a struggle for control over Japan. Whoever is able to take the upper hand, will be able to grasp the title of Shogun, and therefore be able to rule over Japan. Amidst the chaos, citizens in regions unaffected by the war live their life in relative peace. Others, however, decide to oppose the ruling class by joining the religious order of the Ikkō-ikki, the so called warrior-monks who obbey no leader and who aim to destabilize those whom they consider their oppressors. As if that wasn’t enough, the isolated island of Japan has recently been discovered by Portuguese traders who were blown off-course and ended up shipwrecking off the Japanese coast. Arriving in a fishing village, they slowly start to realize the commercial potential of their discovery...
