Description

Iceborne Congregation (ICE or IC for shorthand) is a collective consciousness of various arthropods infected by an alien virus, which appeared as an ancient threat locked in the ice for centuries. They live in subarctic climate zones and assimilate strangers or hunt them as a source of nutrition for the whole congregation. The virus itself is capable of drastically bending their host’s body allowing them to adapt in harsh conditions. However, as a typical virus, the parasite eventually exhaust its host as the body cannot take such great changes. The Swarm is struggling to survive in those harsh grounds, however, the sturdy will to spread overwhelms it. Infected individuals know that they need to work together to survive, to spread, to achieve. The Swarm will thrive while ice is cracking underneath its habitats.
